The Emergency Department is seeing high numbers of people going to the hospital and the hospital is very busy. The Emergency Department is still there for people who have life threatening injuries and illnesses but there may be long waits for other injuries and conditions. Anyone who attends the Emergency Department but doesn’t need to be treated there will be redirected to an alternative service. We are asking our patients and the local community to help make sure the Emergency Department is kept free for the people that need life-saving care.
