#MedSafetyWeek 2025: Every Report Counts

#MedSafetyWeek 2025 is a global campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of reporting side effects from medicines and vaccines. Taking place in November 2025, this initiative brings together regulators, healthcare professionals, patients, and the public from more than 80 countries to promote medication safety and strengthen pharmacovigilance worldwide.
This year’s theme — “Report Side Effects. Every Report Counts.” — highlights how individual reports help protect communities. By sharing experiences and side effects, we contribute to a safer and more informed use of medicines for everyone.

Why Reporting Matters
Adverse drug reactions can occur with any medicine, even those used for years. Reporting side effects helps authorities detect new risks, update safety guidance, and improve the quality of healthcare. Each report adds valuable data that can prevent harm and save lives.

How You Can Take Part

  • Patients and caregivers: If you experience a side effect, report it through your national reporting system or online portal.
  • Healthcare professionals: Encourage your patients to report side effects and submit your own professional observations.
  • Organizations and partners: Share #MedSafetyWeek messages across your networks to amplify awareness.
