Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026

Eating disorders are serious, complex mental health conditions that do not have a single face, body type, age, or background. They affect people of all genders, sizes, ethnicities, and walks of life—and many individuals struggle in silence due to stigma, misunderstanding, or fear of not being taken seriously.
Eating Disorder Awareness Week 2026 is an opportunity to challenge harmful stereotypes, raise awareness, and promote compassion and understanding. It’s a time to recognize that someone does not need to “look sick” to be struggling, and that every experience is valid and deserving of care.
Recovery is not linear, and it looks different for everyone. While the journey can be difficult, recovery is possible—especially with the right support, access to treatment, and a community that listens without judgment.
If you or someone you love is struggling, know this: you are not weak, you are not alone, and you deserve help. Reaching out can be hard, but support can truly change lives.
This week—and every week—we commit to fostering open conversations, reducing stigma, and advocating for empathy, education, and accessible care for all.
