The national health strategy 2025 on men’s health highlighted the fact that men do not access health facilities as much as women, often believing that healthcare is inconvenient, unwelcoming or not male-friendly, leading to reduced screening outcomes. It is about preventing and treating cardiometabolic disease, cancer, mental illness and male specific cancers like prostate and testicular cancers.
To this end, the practice will be running a male specific clinic once a week to proactively identify modifiable risk factors, counsel on reducing these, investigate further, treat and refer all identified diagnoses.
Our aim is to improve the overall access and health of all men on our list. We would be auditing attendances and services provided at end of each quarter and annually with results shared on our website.
