Uni-City Medical Centre – Anima Triage System
What are the opening times for Anima?Anima is available Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:30pm.
CapacityOn some days, demand for GP appointments exceeds the safe capacity we can provide. When this happens, you may see an alert on Anima indicating that no further same-day appointments are available.
You can still submit a request for a routine appointment. If your need is urgent, please call the reception team, who will be happy to assist you.
How soon will I hear back?We aim to respond to all queries on the same day. However, more routine queries may take a few days to process.
What if I can’t access the internet or don’t feel confident using it?Our reception team is always happy to help. They can submit requests on your behalf and will contact you with the outcome, including booking any necessary appointments.
Why have we changed to Anima?GP practices are under increasing pressure due to rising demand and fewer available GPs.
This system helps ensure patients are seen by the right clinician, in the right place, at the right time, improving care and patient experience. It also helps reduce pressure on GPs, allowing them to focus where they are most needed.
Digital triage also aims to reduce the “8am rush,” a common issue across many practices. This approach is supported by NHS England.
Can I use Anima to request a repeat prescription?Currently, Anima is not the easiest way to request repeat prescriptions.
We recommend using the NHS App instead. Alternatively, you can:
- Email: [email protected]
- Visit the surgery and request via reception
Is Anima an app?No, Anima is not currently an app. It is accessed through a website.
The Anima team is working on integration with the NHS App, and updates will be provided when available. Some messages may already appear in your NHS App as part of this process.
Can I contact Anima directly?Yes. If you need help using the system, you can contact Anima’s support team at:[email protected]
